two-zero-one-zero! Hopefully this year will be better than previous! I spent a really quiet new year's eve with wr. So quiet you can even hear the crickets and wind howling...cuz we went jogging at 11pm on the NYE haha! I'm so not a crowd type of person. I get very irritated when i need to squeeze with people, and pissed off when my toes are being stepped upon.  My family + wr + stefie went Red Star for sumptuous dim sum brunch on NY day. The only time i've taste better dim sum than this restaurant's was when i was in HK. They serve uber nice porridge, even wr who hates porridge had 2 large bowls. Tsk tsk~ I have one firm new year resolution this year - to be certified to drive!! I'm prolly like one of the last few extinct dinosaurs around (except wr) who doesn't know how to drive yet. My circle of friends have gotten their license eons ago. Even during my recent sec sch gathering, i was being happily driven around. So...i must get my license this year!! Christmas came and went just like this. I was so looking forward to this festive season, or rather, the long weekends. If only i work 3.5 days every week! You see, i'm a strong believer of the famous saying "the grass is always greener on the other side", cuz i am a real life example. When i'm still a poor student, i would fantasize about myself in the corporate world, having earning power and all. And right now that i have exactly that, i whine about having to work from 9-6pm on weekdays, and not being able to watch movies at student rate, yada yada. Ok i'm side tracking. Speaking about movies, i've just watched the most sensational movie of the year - Avatar! Thankfully wr has coerced me into watching the film in 3D. I love the message so loudly portrayed in this film, anti-war & Green. And there's this particular sentence dialogued in the movie that struck me hard. "All energy is only borrowed and one day we have to give it back"  So go watch it if you havent. Best to watch in 3D!   And finally...   Wr handed me my xmas/anniversary gift over the dinner. He'd alrdy let me in on my gift so i'm not surprised, but feeling a mixture of guilt and happiness. Tiff & Co. stuff are one of the sweetest gift a bf gives to his other half, and i'm over the moon when he intends to get me one of those. At the same time, it makes me sad to know that he's gotta scrimp and save on his expenses for the next month because he had just bought a beautiful bomb. Worse still, i got him an A|X sweater which doesnt fit him and ended up in my dad's wardrobe. But to him, as long as i'm glowing, he would be too. Introducing the new member of my apple family  I'm dying to explore the exciting world of iphone apps but haven't found the time to do so. I'm still relying on my good old iTouch to listen to mp3 cuz i have yet to sync songs into iphone. As much as i'm more than glad to have iphone from now on, im a tad sad to cease using the ever loyal nokia 7370. I know its prolly ancient by now, but it has dutifully served me well for the past 4 years. So...it has now a different and important role - My alarm clock! =) |
